Here’s a sumptuous vegan version of the classic BLT—”bacon” lettuce and tomato sandwich—and it is SO good, you’ll want to make it all the time!
Here’s my avocado spread recipe—and it’s super simple: Mash 1 large, fresh avocado with a fork, and then blend in 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp lime juice, 1 tsp red pepper flakes, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix thoroughly, and store unused spread in airtight container in refrigerator. It’s absolutely delicious! (I sprinkle a lot of nutritional yeast on top of my spread for even more flavor and a HUGE dose of vitamin B complex!)
