The word “Yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj”, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to unite’, and AcroYoga (the combination of yoga and acrobatics) provides a far more literal interpretation of the word’s origin.

In this short video, you’ll see my and my wife’s foray into AcroYoga, which began a mere 5 or 6 weeks ago. We’re so new to the craft that we don’t even know the formal names (if there are any) for these poses, but we absolutely love giving them a try! Often, she’ll bring me a photo and I’ll say, “Oh, that looks easy enough”—only to discover how difficult it actually is upon first try. In fact, even the easiest of them all are incredibly challenging. But that’s what we love about it! It’s also wonderfully bonding.

I highly recommend giving this stuff a try!
